De motorpost-versie van de Mat ’64 heeft een complete sound overhaul gekregen, waardoor ‘ie nu veel meer klinkt als het echte ding. De motor-, cabine- en draaistelgeluiden zijn helemaal opnieuw gedaan met echte opnames en flink wat fijn afstelwerk om elk detail goed te krijgen.

De motoren gebruiken nu nauwkeurig opgenomen DC PWM-frequenties, waardoor je dat herkenbare elektrische gezoem en gejank van een echte Mat ’64 hoort. Je hoort zelfs dat lichte gerammel als de motoren beginnen te trekken en de trein in beweging komt – van die kleine details die het echt afmaken.

En natuurlijk zit de legendarische Mat ’64-compressor er ook in, dezelfde die je ook hoorde op de oude NS 1300 en andere treinen uit die tijd. Dat typische ritme is meteen herkenbaar als je ooit in de buurt van zo’n trein bent geweest. Daarnaast zijn de rolgeluiden en draaistelgeluiden rechtstreeks opgenomen van een echte Mat ’64, dus alles klinkt lekker realistisch en vertrouwd.

Het is niet zomaar een paar nieuwe geluidjes erin gegooid, maar echt een zorgvuldig in elkaar gezet geheel dat precies vangt hoe het is om bij zo’n trein te staan. Van het eerste gezoem bij het optrekken tot de klappen en sissen als ‘ie tot stilstand komt alles klopt gewoon.

Het installeren gaat als volgt:

• 1. open het .rar-bestand
• 2. installeren: [DEC] mP3000 Soundmod.exe
• 2. installeren: [DEC] mP3000 Soundmod Bins.exe

En klaar.

Als je de soundmod wilt uitschakelen of de-installeren, ga dan als volgt te werk:

• 1. open opnieuw het .rar-bestand
• 2. installeer: [DEC] mP3000 Chris Bins.exe

Als je klaar bent, is alles weer zoals het origineel van ChrisTains.

The motorpost version of the Mat ’64 has had a complete sound rework, making it sound way more like the real thing. The motors, cab, and bogie sounds have all been redone from scratch using real recordings and a lot of careful tweaking to get every little detail right.

The motor sounds now include accurately recorded DC PWM frequencies, giving that proper electric buzz and whine you’d hear from an actual Mat ’64. You can even catch the subtle rattling noise when the motors start to bite and the train begins to roll.. little touches like that make a huge difference. Of course, the legendary Mat ’64 compressor is in there too, the same one you’d also hear on the old NS 1300s and other classic Dutch trains from that era.

It’s got that familiar rhythm that anyone who’s spent time around these units will recognize instantly. On top of that, the rolling and bogie sounds were recorded straight from a real Mat ’64, so everything feels properly grounded and natural.

Overall, it’s not just a bunch of new sounds thrown in, it’s a carefully put-together mix that captures what it actually feels like to be around one of these trains. From the first hum of power to the clunks and hisses as it comes to a stop, it all just fits.

Installing goes as follows:

• 1. open the .rar file
• 2. install: [DEC] mP3000 Soundmod.exe
• 3. install: [DEC] mP3000 Soundmod Bins.exe

And done.

Should you want to disable or uninstall the sound mod, then please do as follows:

• 1. again open the .rar file
• 2. install: [DEC] mP3000 Chris Bins.exe

Once finished, everything will be back to the original version of ChrisTains .
