BeschrijvingEen scenario uit de oude doos. In dit 3 delige scenario gaan we terug naar 2018. In dit scenario rij je de 1Y44 pasenger service van Mallaig naar Glasgow Queenstreet. Je rijdt dwars door de Schotse Hooglanden via fort William naar Crainlarich waar gecombineerd wordt met het treindeel uit Oban. Via Ardlui en Helensburgh Upper, Dumbarton Central en Dalmuir naar Glasgow Queenstreet. Deze treindienst rijdt maar een paar keer per dag. In het hoogseizoen rijdt ook 1x per dag een speciale stoomtreinrit van Fort William naar Malaig en terug. De treindienst wordt meestal gereden met Class 150,153, 155 of 156. Vandaag wordt voor een uitzondering de class 158 ingezet.
Vanaf 1 april 2015 was Abellio, een dochterbedrijf van de Nederlandse Spoorwegen, de exploitant van het treinverkeer in Schotland. Dit deden ze onder het bedrijf Abellio ScotRail. Oorspronkelijk had Abellio een contract tot 1 april 2025. Eind 2019 werd bekend dat dit zou worden ingekort tot 1 april 2022, omdat de prestaties onder het streefniveau lagen en omdat er te veel klachten van passagiers waren over te drukke treinen, geannuleerde treinen en te dure tickets.
De Schotse regering sowieso was kritisch over de geprivatiseerde spoorsector in het geheel. Er was ook op nationaal niveau een onderzoek bezig naar de privatisering van het spoor. Uiteindelijk besloot de Schotse regering zelf het treinverkeer in Schotland te gaan beheren, als operator of last resort
In dit laatste deel rijden we van Helensburgh Upper via Durbarton en Dalmuir naar de einbestemming Glasgow Queen Street.
Dit is een realistisch scenario. Alle AI treinen rijden volgens de originele dienstregeling van 2018 die in het Verenigd Koninkrijk van kracht was.
DescriptionA scenario from the old box. In this 3-part scenario we go back to 2018. In this scenario you drive the 1Y44 passenger service from Mallaig to Glasgow Queenstreet. You drive right through the Scottish Highlands via Fort William to Crainlarich where it is combined with the train part from Oban. Via Ardlui and Helensburgh Upper, Dumbarton Central and Dalmuir to Glasgow Queenstreet. This train service only runs a few times a day. In the high season there is also a special steam train ride from Fort William to Malaig and back once a day. The train service is usually operated with Class 150,153, 155 or 156. Today the class 158 is used as an exception.
From 1 April 2015, Abellio, a subsidiary of the Dutch Railways, was the operator of the train traffic in Scotland. They did this under the company Abellio ScotRail. Originally, Abellio had a contract until 1 April 2025. At the end of 2019 it was announced that this would be shortened to 1 April 2022, because performance was below target and because there were too many complaints from passengers about overcrowded trains, cancelled trains and overpriced tickets.

In this last part we drive from Helensburgh Upper via Dumbarton and Dalmuir to the final destination Glasgow Queen Street.
This is a realistic scenario. All AI trains run according to the original timetable of 2018 that was in force in the United Kingdom.
