Beschrijving
De NMBS, de Belgische Nationale Spoorwegen, bestelde 100 exemplaren, waarvan het eerste op 24 juni 1964 werd geleverd. De locomotief kreeg het nummer 210.007 (6007). De nummering begint bij 6007 omdat de locomotieven 6001-6006 de prototypeversies van deze serie zijn. Later ondergingen 15 locomotieven een kleine aanpassing, waarna ze werden hernummerd tot 210.201-215. Begin jaren ’70 werden alle locomotieven opnieuw genummerd: 210.001-210.091 werden 6007-6091 en 210.201-210.215 werden 6101-6115. Helaas hadden de locomotieven een korte loopbaan, als gevolg van talrijke motorproblemen. Eind 1985 werden alle locomotieven uit dienst genomen. Verschillende locomotieven zijn verkocht aan particuliere exploitanten in Italië,... . De 6041, 6077, 6019 en 6086 zijn de enige overgebleven exemplaren, die in België worden bewaard.

Description
The SNCB, Belian National Railways ordered 100 units, from which the first one was delivered on 24th juni, 1964. The locomotive was numbered 210.007 (6007). It's starts at 6007 because locomotives 6001-6006 are the prototype versions of this serie. Later 15 locomotives had a small adjustment, they were renumbered to 210.201-215. In the beginning of the '70s, all locomotives were renumbered: 210.001-210.091 became 6007-6091, and 210.201-210.215 became 6101-6115. Unfortunatly, the locomotives had a short career, caused by multiplu enginpromblems. By the end of 1985 al locomotives were taken out of sevice. Several locomotives are sold to private operators in Italy,... . The 6041, 6077, 6019, 6086 are the only units left, and preserved in Belgium.
