Beschrijving
De AM 96 is het modernste motorstel van de NMBS. Er werden 120 stuks van geleverd vanaf 1996.
De AM 96 versie met een extra 25kv panto en beveiliging voor het Franse net is genummerd van 441 tot 490.
De versie met enkele panto enkel geschikt voor het Belgische net is genummerd van 501 - 570

Description
The AM 96 is het latest and most modern electric train the NMBS-SNCB owns. 120 pcs were delivered from 1996 onwards.
The AM'96 version with an additional 25kv pantograph and safety systems for the french railnetwork has been numbered 441-490.
The Am96 with a single pantograph en only suited for the belgian network has been numbered: 501 - 570
