ThirdRails Map Tool is een gratis live kaarttracker voor het Dovetail Train Simulator-spel. Het volgt je trein op prachtige kaarten, zodat je altijd weet waar je bent.
Je kunt je rit bovenop het spel bekijken, op je tweede scherm of als een buiten de cabine ervaring via elk apparaat met behulp van een webbrowser. Je kunt Point-Of-Interests aan de kaart toevoegen, waardoor scenario's met militaire precisie kunnen worden gemaakt.

Maar het is meer dan een tracker, het breidt de TS-gameplay uit met Real Drives, het registreert je rit naar het Whistle Board en biedt een soort multiplayer-functie door middel van de Community Radar.

Description
ThirdRails Map Tool is a free live map tracker for the Dovetail Train Simulator game. It follows your train on beautiful maps so you always will know your whereabouts.
You can view your ride on top of the game, on your second screen, or as an out-of-the-cab experience via any device using a webbrowser. You are able to add Point-Of-Interests to the map enabling scenario creation with military precision.

But it is more then a tracker, it extends TS gameplay with Real Drives, it logs your ride to the Whistle Board and offers a kind of multiplayer feature by means of the Community Radar.

• Manual Waypoints: Create a timetable by simply clicking the stations from the Station Network page
• Remote Speedometer: Instantly open a live speedometer on your phone from the app using link or QR code. Tip! You can also experience this by following your ride (or any other ride) on the radar website.

• Fix for cloud file access error on Windows 11 by migrating local databases (MyActivities.db, User.db, Announcements.db) from the OneDrive-controlled Documents folder to the AppData folder.
• Added manual backup option for Activities and Announcements, allowing users to create safe local copies in their Documents folder
• Caching Azure AI Speech Service voices locally to reduce the risk of voice unavailability caused by subscription limits
• Fixed a bug where announcements muted for audio playback were also excluded from the radar
• TSC Fixed an error while retreiving the raildriver path (System.IO.Path.NormalizePath). User will now be prompted to enter right folder
• Made digital speedometer a bit wider to avoid cluttering with gradient and total distance tools

• Radar Engine upgrade : replaced the old database-driven backend with a fully in-memory version, delivering 100+ times faster processing to accommodate many more active drivers simultaneously.
• Added incremental rendering and viewport filtering to the Station Layer for fast, non-sluggish label performance
• New ThirdRails Station Network page for auditing stations and creating timetables on the fly
• HUD radar cleanup: simplified the interface by moving the players panel to an action button and compacting map layer controls for a less cluttered view.
• Waypoint Context Panel: fixed positioning in the top-left corner, with GPS point auto-switching when in sight removed.
• Prepared the top row of the radar for Context Panels such as the Waypoint Context Panel and Driver Context Panel
• Driver Context Panel showing train number, origin, destination and link to speedometer when following
• Open Speedometer of the followed train from Driver Context Panel showing speed and acceleration (Can be temporary used to open your own live speedometer on seperate device)
