De 2200 krijgt ook even een flinke sound overhaul. Het harde gebrom, de luide toeter en het typische gerammel zijn allemaal zo goed mogelijk nagemaakt binnen TSC, met zoveel mogelijk echte referenties en opnames als basis.

Ik heb geprobeerd om dat rauwe, industriële geluid van de 2200 echt goed te vangen.. dat zware motorgeluid dat je voelt trillen door de hele loc heen, vooral bij het optrekken. Ook de luchtgeluiden en het piepen bij het afremmen zijn allemaal wat meer uitgewerkt, zodat het geheel wat meer “leeft”.

De toeter is natuurlijk ook aangepakt lekker hard, precies zoals het hoort bij deze beestachtige loc. Echt dat brute geluid dat je van ver al hoort aankomen.

Alles bij elkaar maakt het de 2200 een stuk overtuigender om mee te rijden. Het voelt niet meer als zomaar een geluidssetje, maar als een eerlijke weergave van hoe deze machines echt klonken.. ruig, luid.

Het installeren gaat als volgt:

• 1. open het .rar-bestand
• 2. installeren: [DEC] NS 2200 Soundmod.exe
• 2. installeren: [DEC] NS 2200 Soundmod Bins.exe

En klaar.

Als je de soundmod wilt uitschakelen of de-installeren, ga dan als volgt te werk:

• 1. open opnieuw het .rar-bestand
• 2. installeer: [DEC] NS 2200 Chris Bins.exe

Als je klaar bent, is alles weer zoals het origineel van ChrisTains.

The 2200 is also getting a proper sound overhaul. The deep rumble, the loud horn, and that signature rattling have all been recreated as accurately as possible within TSC, using real recordings and references wherever I could find them.

I tried to capture that raw, industrial character of the 2200, that heavy engine sound you can almost feel vibrating through the whole loco, especially when it starts pulling. The air releases and brake squeals have also been refined to make everything feel more alive and dynamic.

The horn got some love too, just like it should be on a beast like this. it’s got that punchy, aggressive sound you can hear coming from far away.

All in all, it makes the 2200 more convincing to drive. It doesn’t feel like just another sound pack, but more like an honest recreation of how these machines really sounded... rough, loud.

Installing goes as follows:

• 1. open the .rar file
• 2. install: [DEC] NS 2200 Soundmod.exe
• 3. install: [DEC] NS 2200 Soundmod Bins.exe

And done.

Should you want to disable or uninstall the sound mod, then please do as follows:

• 1. again open the .rar file
• 2. install: [DEC] NS 2200 Chris Bins.exe

Once finished, everything will be back to the original version of ChrisTains .
